A lean, wiry young man with delicate features and long pointed ears, dark messy hair falling loosely in front of his face. When the party met him in Barovia village he looked exhausted and in pain, clutching a large, bleeding wound in his side.
He drew Ignacious Teegan into a townhouse by throwing his voice and casting illusions, then held him at the point of a short blade from behind a cloth face covering, speaking in a performatively deep voice. He had been watching the party since they arrived in the village and needed to know whether they could be trusted.
He introduced himself as Vesper Kasimov and explained that he was expected to deliver a package to an organisation known as the Keepers of the Feather. Ignacious offered to help with the task and to mend his wounds, and the two came to an agreement. Vesper picked up his bag and they headed into the street together, later falling in with Ireena Kolyana, Virro, and Edric Storm at the centre of town.
When the church collapsed, Vesper was buried with the others. Virro was the first to find him, though he didn’t recognise him at first: what he pulled from the rubble was the limp body of a raven the size of a man, with a long beak and large, inky black wings, wearing Vesper’s clothes, his head awash with gore from the fall.
At the end of Kolyan Indirovich’s funeral, Rahadin had the body of Vesper the wereraven brought to the side of Kolyan’s coffin, and carelessly kicked it into the grave to “save on space”.
