A short woman the party met in the town square of Vallaki, who lingered after the Baron’s petitions with such a carefree air that she seemed to float on it. She wears a shoulderless gold dress, large brown boots, and a mask made from the skull of a horned creature.
She was fascinated by Virro’s ears, and touched them in amazement once Ignacious explained they were real. She has little love for the Baron, and offered the party “a bit of… revolutionary violence”. When Ignacious wondered whether the Baron might be a vampire, she laughed: “Oh, no. I remember the day he became Baron.” Asked her age, she held up a bare ring finger. “Careful, I’m married!” A pause. “Well, he is dead, though.”
In a side alley she kissed Retnuh, catching him completely off guard. She mentioned that the Keepers of the Feather might be willing to stir things up in town, though she had no idea where to find them.
At the Blue Water Inn she drank a bottle of Red Strongwash straight from the neck. When Karl Wachter belched in Retnuh’s ear and Retnuh punched him, Volenta broke the bottle over Karl’s head and kicked him unconscious.
Ireena isn’t sure she can be trusted, but is fairly certain she isn’t a vampire: the wards on Vallaki keep them out.
